The Barber Behind the Brand
David Costa
Master Barber & Founder
David began his craft in 2015 on the coast of São Paulo, developing a deep respect for discipline, structure and technique. He opened his first barbershop driven not by experience, but by ambition.
In 2018, he moved to the United States and rebuilt from the ground up. Balcony. Garage studio. A 100 sq ft office. Then a private studio where he spent two years refining both craft and client experience.
Private trainings, mentorships and advanced courses with respected educators across Brazil, Europe and the United States shaped his path. In 2025, that journey became Vivant. A space built with intention, defined by a philosophy blending Brazilian craftsmanship with European technique.
